Sixth Grade Orientation
The ASK Academy will host a sixth grade orientation on July 23, 2026 from 8:00 AM to approximately 12:00 PM. This orientation is only for incoming 6th grade scholars.
This orientation will help our scholars transition into middle school. Expected events:
-Important Reading and Math assessment for course placement
-While scholars test, parents will: from each project manager
-Meet the MS Principal
-Pay fees (computer fee ($30), and general supplies fee ($50)
-Learn the In and outs of PowerSchool
-Learn how to navigate The ASK Academy
-Uniform purchase
-Get club information
-Meet the Nurse, Counselors, Special Education Assistant Director
...and so much more.
**Parents will be able to meet the managers during the Family Night.

Does my scholar have to attend orientation?
Yes, but we understand circumstances arise that make it impossible.
Should parents attend with the scholar?
Yes. Most of the program will be for parents and how to help their child maneuver a new school.
Does my scholar have to wear the school uniform to orientation?
No.
Where can I find information about ordering the uniform before orientation?

Will the nurse and counselor be present at orientation?
Yes.
Can I drop off scholar medications, shot records, and other documentation to the nurse during orientation?
Yes.

Ninth Grade Orientation and New Scholar Orientation
This year, The ASK Academy will be hosting a ninth grade orientation on July 30, 2026 from 8:30 AM to approximately 12:00 PM. (Any new 7th, 8th, and high school scholars should attend this orientation.)
This orientation will help our scholars transition into ASK. Expected events:
-Schedule pick-up
-Assembly
-Meet the principal
-Meet the managers (teachers) and staff
-Walk through schedule and chat with Managers - Get syllabus
-Pay fees (technology fees ($25), computer fee ($75), if applicable, and general supplies fee ($50)
-Check out computers
-Be assigned a locker, if desired. Please bring a lock. (First come-first served)
-In and outs of PowerSchool
-Uniform purchase or swap
-Join clubs
