Science the week of February 28- March 3, 2022

Why, Hello there March!!🍀🌷I have missed you and look forward to the warmth of spring, blooming flowers, and time change. 😎 This week is our first full week, it's been awhile. End of Quarter 3 is this Friday, March 4th so be sure to check over all of your work and ensure you are understanding the concepts.
  • Due to our snow day on 2/24, we are bumping sound energy to Monday! Yes!! SOUND! 🎧 🔊Bring your headphones for this immersive experience. This is one of my favorites!
  • Newton's 2nd Law of Motion is explored with some mini activities and explore a bit more into the lives of Women in Physics in recognition of Women's History Month. 🎢 🧑‍🔬
  • Wind Energy on Wednesday. What exactly is wind? Where does it form and how do we collect energy from this source? LAB DAY: Build (team) an anemometer and monitor wind patterns.🍃 William Kamkwamba built the wind turbine in The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, to save his village, so let's connect the science on how this works.🌬
  • Renewable and Nonrenewable Sources review plus we get a look at our final project details. *Energy types Quiz retake on Thursday, be ready. This is your assignment focus for the week and will be entered in Powerschool.
**If you are at home learning, be sure to check Google Classroom daily for handouts and access to our lessons. The lab is one you can do at home, feel free to modify materials. Check in with me to ensure you are understanding the concepts.
