Welcome to Ms. Pierce's website! 
Please check Google Classroom where you will find copies of PowerPoint Presentations, rubrics, forms, and other items that you may need for class. Most assignments will be submitted for grading on Google Classroom. Physical paper assignments will rarely be assigned/accepted, and only with prior permission granted.
Absent: Please check Google Classroom to see what we covered in class, what was assigned, and what was due that day.
Supplies for General Computer Applications (1 Semester Course):
  • Computer & charging cord
    • A Chromebook CANNOT be used for this course!
  • Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Google apps CANNOT be used for this course!
  • Earbuds/Headphones (for watching instructional videos at your own pace)
Supplies for Algebra: Data Analysis & Probability (Algebra 1, Full Year Course):
  • Computer & charging cord
  • Spiral notebook for this class ONLY
    • At least 1-subject spiral, normal size (for example: 8 x 10.5 in, or 8.5 x 11 in, etc.)
    • Can be wide-ruled, college-ruled, or graph paper
    • May need additional spiral when this one is full
  • Pencils, erasers
  • Scientific calculator (or graphing calculator)
  • Graph paper (any size)
  • Ability to take pictures of written work to submit on Google Classroom
    • Can be a cellphone camera, webcam, digital scanner, etc.
    • Alternative solutions can be discussed with Ms. Pierce
    • Straight-edge or ruler
    • Access to colored pencils/pens
    • Access to scissors, tape, glue, etc.
    • Graph paper post-its (makes graphing easier, but regular graph paper can also be used)
Printed Materials & Handouts:
The ability for scholars to print at home will be helpful, especially during virtual learning. Ms. Pierce will provide all materials digitally through Google Classroom. While it is possible for scholars to complete assignments using only digital materials, sometimes a printed copy just works best for learning. When printed materials are used by scholars, these will generally be for their use only and not expected to be submitted to Ms. Pierce.
