Ways to Support The ASK Academy
At The ASK Academy, we believe that education is a community effort. Our STEM-focused charter school thrives thanks to the dedication of parents, community members, and local professionals who share our commitment to inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
How You Can Make a Difference
Join the Parent Support Committee (PSC): Become part of our school's leadership community by joining the Parent Support Committee. Help shape school policies, organize fundraising events, coordinate family engagement activities, and serve as a bridge between families and school administration. The PSC meets monthly and plays a vital role in creating a strong school community that supports both academic excellence and well-being.
Advisory Boards: Become a member of our advisory boards. We have a Biomedical Advisory Board that lends its expertise to the pathway. We have roles for representatives for parents, higher education professionals, industry/workforce professionals, special populations (SPED and/or underserved populations) and tribal and indigenous population representatives. Reach out to Michelle Nuanez at mnuanez@theaskacademy.org if you are interested.
Chaperone: Join us on exciting field trips to support real-life experiences. Help our scholars explore real-world STEM applications while ensuring their safety and engagement during these valuable learning experiences. Chaperone events, dances and other important milestones. Please follow this process to begin the background check process.
Volunteer: Share your expertise in our classrooms, mentor in robotics clubs, sell pizza at school on Thursdays, or assist with science fair projects. Whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours to spare, we have opportunities that fit your schedule and skills. Please follow this process to begin the background check process.

Share Your Expertise: Inspire the Next Generation!
Are you a parent or community member with a background in biomedical science, research, writing, economics, history, or engineering or know someone who is? We'd love fo r you to come share your knowledge and career journey with our scholars! Your experience can open young minds to exciting possibilities and help them see how classroom learning connects to the real world. Whether it’s a short presentation, hands-on demo, or Q&A session, your story could spark a lifelong interest. Reach out to the MS principal, Mr. Keelin or the HS principal, Mr. Barrett, with your interest in presenting at jkeeling@theaskacademy.org or bbarrett@theaskacademy.org.
Substitute Teaching: Have a background in education? Help maintain continuity in our scholars' learning by serving as a substitute teacher. Email egarcia@theaskacademy.org to start the process.

Your donations help fund cutting-edge laboratory equipment, technology upgrades, field trip scholarships, and materials for hands-on projects that bring STEM concepts to life. You may donate here or reach out to Stephany Munoz at smunoz@theaskacademy.org if you have questions about the process.
