Answer Questions in Google Form re: Chapter 1, New Mexico Since Statehood, textbook in Google Classroom

Answer Questions in Google Form re: Chapter 1, New Mexico Since Statehood, textbook

I will be preparing tonight a Google Forms with 12 questions. These will be largely from the questions at the end of the chapter (see page 43 in the textbook). I will not be asking the questions that are questions 10-12, and will be making multiple and separate questions from the questions in number 9. This is due Monday, August 24, at 8 am. It is vital that this assignment be completed while keeping in mind how to answer "Explain," "Why," "How," and "What" questions. It is vital for you to show you have, with this open book assignment, engaged with the book, and provide specifics that show you have ingested the information in the chapter.

Due:

Is Onate a hero-explorer or colonialist-killer? in Google Classroom

Is Onate a hero-explorer or colonialist-killer?

This is what is called a short answer assignment. I am not looking for a long essay answer. This should be no more than one page, and if you go over, into a second page, that is fine, but not necessary. To prepare this short answer essay, please read the chapter on Onate that is set forth in the excerpt from David Roberts' book, "The Pueblo Revolt," which is in the Classroom section under the heading "Juan de Onate." The chapter is 28 pages, but written in a breezy style. You may feel free to go back to the two page letter from Mr. Arellanes of LULAC to compare and contrast anything Roberts concludes from his historical investigation and what Mr. Arellanes wrote. I have added a rubric below to assist you in preparing an effective paper.
