7th/8th Grade Engineering

Welcome to my website!
Thank you for visiting my website. This is a great place to get a general overview of my courses and expectations. Specific assignments will be in each period's Google Classroom and grades will be posted in PowerSchool.
Please continue to check back as this page will be updated throughout the first few weeks of school.
Joining Google Classroom
I have sent email invitations to join my Google Classrooms. I realize that schedules may be changing and I may unintentionally miss an invitation.
If you did not get an invitation to Google Classroom, please send me an email and include which period you are scheduled for Engineering or Robotics.
About Me:
I am so excited to join the ASK Academy family this year as an Engineering Project Manager!
This is my 13th year in education. I have taught both general education and Gifted in elementary school and co-founded my previous school's Robotics Club. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and am on the Executive Board of the New Mexico Association for the Gifted.
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking and camping with my family. I also love hot air ballooning and have been a chase crew member for the last 4 years.
We all know there will be many changes this year. With the possibility that we may have several different learning environments during the semester, flexibility (from all of us--Manager, Scholar and Family) is important and appreciated.
I am making every effort to keep as much digital as possible, realizing that once we get to the hybrid model there will be some back-and-forth between school and home and I would like to minimize materials being left in the wrong learning space.
Because there may be some movement in class lists, the syllabus (including expectations, supply lists, class policies, etc.) will be presented during the first week of class. All of those resources will be posted here once we have reviewed them in class.
Scholars will not be expected to have supplies until the week of August 10th.
